Specialty

Many of my clients look like they have everything under control, but inside they feel completely depleted. You might be the person everyone relies on—the capable, responsible one—while quietly wondering why you feel lost. Painful or traumatic life experiences can make it tough to trust your body or have the relationships we dream of. This can show up as anxiety, a difficult relationship with your body, food, or substances, difficulty setting and maintaining boundaries, or a persistent sense that you should be okay—but aren’t.

In therapy, you can finally slow down in a space that’s just for you, where you can learn to feel calm, and finally understand these heavy feelings or unwanted behaviors. As we work together, you can learn to make peace with your body, stop fighting with food, and treat yourself with kindness instead of guilt. You will gain tools to set healthy boundaries with others and break free from stress. Instead of just surviving each day and trying to please everyone else, you can gain the confidence to make your own choices, heal from past pain, and build a peaceful life you truly love.

I aim to create a space where people feel genuinely seen and understood as their authentic selves. Using a flexible approach that combines different ideas—like mind-body connections, personal life stories, attachment, mindfulness, and exploring different parts of yourself—we address your unique needs rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all plan. With warmth and curiosity, I offer a safe space where you can explore who you really are, heal beyond just surviving day-to-day, and build a meaningful life you love.

Experience

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in child welfare and protection. I supported children, adults, and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. My work gave me a deep understanding of trauma, adversity, and painful generational patterns. It also showed me the resilience people draw on to move through difficult circumstances. These experiences taught me to look beyond the immediate situation and understand the larger story of a person.

Outside of Refuge

Outside of therapy, I enjoy art, music, writing, nature, yoga, and reading. I’m especially drawn to the ways creativity, spirituality, and our search for meaning can shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
